This is a Zeze pottery(*1) tea bowl in Shiga, Japan.

(*) Zeze pottery is a type of pottery produced in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. In the early Edo period, the kiln was used as purveyor to the Shogun family in 1626, and Zeze pottery was especially famous for its tea pottery, reaching its peak in the 1600s and being considered one of the seven Enshu kettles. Although it once declined in the first half of the 18th century, it was revived as a new Zeze pottery by people in the Taisho period, and has developed today.  Zeze pottery is characterized by thin construction and dark iron glaze.
